It’s really hard to believe how fast the year has flown by!
For 2023, I’ve focused my vision on establishing our foundation as newlyweds and adjusting to married life. It suits us well! 🙂 We’re close to finding our new “together-rhythm.” and overall, we’ve both greatly simplified our lives. I’ve been able to brush up on my kitchen skills and food creativity. Thankfully, Michael likes veggies…and kale! 🙂 We’ve discovered we completely (and maybe surprisingly) enjoy dinner prep time, making time for breakfast together to start our days, and hosting friends and family!
Together, we’ve launched into gardening: fruit, veggies and flowers, including composting, as we’ve been wanting to beautify our space and experience the entire growing process. It’s a lot of (hot and sweaty!) work. It’s rewarding, but I’m still very happy to have my markets close by! 🙂 I’ve absolutely loved being able to cut fresh zinnias to cheer up the house and watch the brightly colored, happy lovebirds (and more of the “bird community”) come sing from and munch on the sunflowers! There’s just nothing quite like it.
From late spring through the summer, I’ve had the fun of helping my husband with his job, as he’s transitioned from school counselor to principal: everything from organization, to office redecorating, and repurposing a storage closet into a beautiful and peaceful prayer room. So very thankful I’ve had the flexibility to work together with him and get to know the other staff, teachers and students he is daily pouring into.
With that, another school year begins and life moves from “summer” mode into the “fall focus.” I’m still navigating exactly what this next season will look like, but right now I’m targeting in on our 12-week Taste Radiant Living fall class. I love getting to journey together with an amazing group for an extended period of time and watch the transformation take place. Already, we have really great “ah-ha” moments happening at just 2 weeks in!
